Automatic Equipment

Section 604.125  Automatic Equipment a)         Equipment that will automatically shut down a water treatment process is acceptable, provided restart procedures are manual. b)         Automatic startup must be allowed for treatment plants that treat only groundwater and have only unit processes not exposed to contamination.  Examples include iron removal by protected aeration, enclosed retention and pressure sand filtration or ion exchange softening in a pressure vessel operated in a downflow mode.
