Water Loading Stations
Section 604.1460Â Water Loading Stations
To prevent contamination of both the public supply and
potable water vessels being filled, the following principles must be met in the
design of water loading stations:
a)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â a six
inch or larger air gap or other Agency approved cross connection control
measure must be included for all water loading stations;
b)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â the
piping arrangement must prevent potential contaminants from being transferred
between hauling vessels; and
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â hoses must not be
allowed to contact the ground.
