Requirements for Incompatible Wastes
a)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Incompatible wastes, or incompatible wastes and materials (see
appendix V of 40 CFR 265 (Examples of Potentially Incompatible Waste),
incorporated by reference in 35 Ill. Adm. Code 720.111(b), for examples) must

explosions, gaseous emissions, leaching, or other discharge of hazardous waste
or hazardous waste constituents that could result from the contact or mixing of
incompatible wastes or materials.
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hazardous waste must not be piled on the same area where
incompatible wastes or materials were previously piled, unless that area has
been decontaminated sufficiently to ensure compliance with Section 725.117(b).
