Report of Fraud or Misuse of Surplus Property

Section 5020 Section 5020.630  Report of Fraud or Misuse of Surplus Property Where the SASP uncovers evidence that there has been fraud in acquiring surplus property or misuse of surplus property, the SASP shall conduct a preliminary compliance review to determine if a formal investigation is necessary.  A formal investigation shall be requested if the preliminary compliance review fails to resolve questions on the use of the property or indicates a possible criminal violation.  Where there is need for formal investigation the SASP shall notify and cooperate with the Illinois State Police, the FBI, and the federal General Services Administration.
