Definitions

Section 9110.5  Definitions "Act" means the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act [820 ILCS 305]. "Arbitrator" is an employee appointed pursuant to Section 14 of the Act. "Commission" means the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. "Commissioner" means one of the 10 persons appointed by the Governor pursuant to Section 13 of the Act. "Handbook" means the handbook describing the rights and obligations of employers and employees under the Act that is published by the Commission pursuant to Section 15a of the Act.
