Cardiac Catheterization Services

Section 1100 Section 1100.620  Cardiac Catheterization Services a)         Planning Areas:  Health Service Areas as defined by the Department of Health and Human Services pursuant to P.L. 93-641. b)         Utilization Standards: There should be a minimum of 200 cardiac catheterization procedures performed annually within two years after initiation. c)         Need Determination – Cardiac Catheterization Programs: No additional cardiac catheterization service shall be started unless each facility in the planning area offering cardiac catheterization services operates at a level of 400 procedures annually.
