Purpose of Program

Section 715.110 Purpose of Program a) The purpose of this Program is to establish a Program for guaranteeing small business loans to borrowers who would otherwise not qualify in low-income communities that have been historically excluded from investment opportunities. [15 ILCS 516/30-5] b)         The Act allows the Treasurer to allocate up to $10,000,000 of investment earnings each year for the Loan Guarantee Program, provided that no more than $50,000,000 may be used for guaranteeing loans at any given time.
