Investigations

Section 2060.394  Investigations a)         DHS/SUPR may, at its own initiation, and shall upon the sworn complaint in writing of any person setting forth charges which, if proved, indicate criminal activity and/or would constitute grounds for sanction as specified in Section 2060.396, conduct its own announced or unannounced investigation. b)         DHS/SUPR employees are authorized to enter the facility with access to all areas and all records related to DHS/SUPR.  DHS/SUPR employees may also make inquiries of organization staff and clients/patients/residents.  (See 20 ILCS 301/45-10) c)         DHS/SUPR may also refer such matters for investigation to the appropriate legal authority.
