Section 340.1570Â Personal
Care
a)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Personal care, as defined in Section 340.1000, shall be
provided on a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week basis, as needed by the resident. This
shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Each resident shall have proper daily personal attention, including
skin, nails, hair, and oral hygiene, in addition to any treatment ordered by
the physician.
2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Each resident shall have at least one complete bath and
shampoo weekly and as many additional baths and shampoos as necessary for
satisfactory personal hygiene.
3)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Each resident shall have clean suitable clothing in order to
be comfortable, sanitary, free of odors, and decent in appearance. Unless
otherwise indicated by their physician, this should be street clothes and
shoes.
4)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Each resident shall have clean bed linens at least once weekly
and more often if necessary.
b)
If clothing is provided to the resident by the facility it
shall be of proper fit.
