Section 370 Section 370.2780  Mechanical Systems a)         Mechanical systems shall be tested, balanced, and operated to demonstrate that the installation and performance of these systems conform to the requirements of these standards. b)         Upon the completion of the contract, the owner shall be furnished with a complete set of manufacturers operating and preventative maintenance instructions, parts list with numbers and descriptions for each piece of equipment, and a copy of the air-balance report.  A complete set of these documents shall be kept on the premises. c)         The owner shall be provided with instructions in the operational use of the systems and equipment as required. d)         A design temperature of 75 degrees fahrenheit for both summer and winter design conditions shall be provided for all patient use areas including corridors. e)         All ventilation supply, return and exhaust systems shall be mechanically operated. f)         Air conditioning and ventilation systems shall be designed, installed and maintained as required by National Fire Protection Association Standard 90A or 90B, depending on the size of the facility.
