Eligibility for Grants

Section 596 TITLE 77: PUBLIC HEALTH CHAPTER I: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH SUBCHAPTER h: GRANTS, LOANS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND WAIVERS FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS, PATHOLOGISTS, AND PROVIDERS PART 596 ILLINOIS RURAL HEALTH CODE SECTION 596.100 ELIGIBILITY FOR GRANTS Section 596.100  Eligibility for Grants The following entities which are located in rural, downstate designated shortage areas are eligible to apply for grants through this Part: a)         local health departments; b)         incorporated, not-for-profit organizations composed of local civic leaders and local citizens representative of the proposed service area; c)         governmental entities; d)         hospital boards of directors; e)         community health centers.
