Aeromedical Crew Member Education Requirements

Section 515 Section 515.940  Aeromedical Crew Member Education Requirements a)         Except as provided for by subsection (b), each aeromedical crew member assigned to a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft shall be approved by the SEMSV MD and shall minimally meet the following requirements: 1)         Be a Paramedic, RN, PHRN, PHPA, PHAPRN or a physician. 2)         Each crew member shall meet the educational, CE, clinical and experience requirements of a Tier III Critical Care Provider, Section 515.860 ALS Expanded Scope and Critical Care Transport, meet or exceed current CAMTS Standards, and 14 CFR 135. b) The SEMSV MD may assign additional crew members with a specialized scope of practice, who have met the educational requirements of 14 CFR 135 and any additional educational and clinical experience authorized by the SEMSV MD and approved by the Department .
