Initial Receipt of Unearned Income

Section 113 Section 113.103  Initial Receipt of Unearned Income a)         When a recipient reports that he has begun receiving unearned income, a determination of continued eligibility shall be made. b)         Income which the recipient expects to receive during the payment month shall be considered in the determination of eligibility. c)         If the recipient remains eligible, the income anticipated to be received during the payment month shall be budgeted for the payment month. d)         If a recipient fails to report that he has begun to receive unearned income, a determination of eligibility shall be conducted when the Department learns of the receipt.  The Department shall also determine at that time whether there has been overpayment (in accordance with 89 Ill. Adm. Code 102.100).
