Public Awareness and Education

Section 270.226  Public Awareness and Education The regional administrative agencies and APS provider agencies may assist the Department by providing public awareness and education on the issues of abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and self-neglect.  The regional administrative agencies and APS provider agencies shall include the following information when producing any public education materials: a)         identification as part of the Adult Protective Services Program; b)         voice and teletypewriter (TTY) phone numbers for the Department on Aging's toll-free 24-hour Adult Protective Services Hotline; and c)         a nondiscrimination clause in accordance with State and federal requirements.
