Purpose

Section 309 Section 309.10  Purpose The purpose of this Part is to describe adoption services available to children for whom the Department of Children and Family Services is legally responsible.  These services include the recruitment, selection, preparation and training of adoptive families, the identification and preparation of children for adoption, and adoptive placement and finalization.  This Part also describes supportive services to adoptive families and children. These services include adoption assistance, adoption registry services, adoption preservation and post-adoption services.
