Section 220.80 Control
Authorities' Responsibilities
Each Control Authority shall
carry out the duties and responsibilities set forth in the Act and these rules
with respect to the land under its jurisdiction. These duties shall include,
but not be limited to the following:
a) Establish, under its general direction, a coordinated program
for the control and eradication of noxious weeds within its jurisdiction.
b) Examine all land under its jurisdiction for compliance.
c) Compile data on infested areas and areas eradicated.
d) Advise persons responsible for controlling and eradicating
noxious weeds of the best and most practical methods of noxious weed control
and eradication.
e) Investigate or aid in the investigation and prosecution of
violations of the Act.
f) Publish notices for control and eradication of noxious weeds
as set forth in the Act and these rules and as prescribed by the Director.
g) Cooperate with Federal, State, and local authorities in
carrying out the provisions of the Act and its rules.
