Payment by the Department

Section 755 Section 755.60  Payment by the Department a)         Before issuing payment for valid claims, the Department shall require the payee and the employee, if the two are not the same, to sign and submit: 1)         a subrogation agreement.  The agreement will be provided by the Department and will assign to the Department the proceeds of any future recovery action that may be initiated regarding the claims being paid; and 2)         a release acknowledging payment in full and releasing the Department from any future responsibility to pay. b)         Upon receipt of all signed agreements, the Department will issue a payment voucher for the amount of approved outstanding costs. c)         The Department will not pay any interest, late fees or similar penalties charged to the employee by any provider or credit agency.
