Section 85.70 Cattle Scabies
a) Cattle may enter Illinois in accordance with provisions of
Title 9, of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 73, as adopted by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture.
b) Cattle within Illinois known to be infested with, or exposed
to, cattle scabies shall be placed under State quarantine which shall remain in
effect until released by the Department after it has been determined that
cattle scabies no longer exists on the premises. Such cattle shall also be
officially treated for cattle scabies, or shipped to slaughter, in accordance
with provisions of Memorandum of Understanding between the Illinois Department
of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture pertaining to Title 9, of
the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 73, as adopted by the U.S. Department of
Agriculture.
