Nitrogen Credits

Section 900 Section 900.808  Nitrogen Credits a)         Nitrogen credits shall be calculated by the livestock facility owner or operator, pursuant to Section 900.803(m)(7) of this Part, for nitrogen-producing crops grown the previous year, for other sources of nitrogen applied for the growing season, and for mineralized organic nitrogen in livestock waste applied during the previous three years. b)         Nitrogen credits shall be calculated by the livestock facility owner or operator for the mineralized organic nitrogen in livestock waste applied during the previous three years at the rate of 50%, 25%, and 12.5%, respectively, of that mineralized during the first year.
