Special Purpose Aircraft Designation

Section 14.900  Special Purpose Aircraft Designation The following aircraft are designated as Special Purpose Aircraft: a)         Seaplanes, non-conventional type of aircraft such as lighter-than-air aircraft, or manned balloons. b)         Sailplanes, gliders, and other powerless, heavier-than-air aircraft. c)         Agricultural aircraft during the time they are being used solely for agricultural aerial applications. d)         Helicopters/VTOL Aircraft. e)         Powered parachutes that are registered with the FAA. f)         Any other aircraft as designated by the Division.
