Section 442 Section 442.210  Body Structure and Mounting a)         See applicable provisions of the FMVSS for requirements (49 CFR 571.100 through 571.304). b)         Insulating material shall be placed at all mounting points between the body and chassis frame.  This material shall be at least 5 mm (.2") thick, may have the quality of the sidewall of an automobile tire, and shall be so secured that it will not move, vibrate, or "crawl" out of place during normal operations. c)         The body front shall be attached and sealed to the chassis cowl so as to prevent the entry of water, dust, or fumes through the joint between the chassis cowl and the body.
