Floor Covering

Section 442 Section 442.235  Floor Covering a)         Plywood or equivalent material may be applied over the existing steel floor and securely fastened – shall be applied if specified by the purchaser. If applied, plywood shall be at least ½" exterior BB grade. b)         All portions of the floor that come in contact with passengers' or driver's footwear shall be covered with a waterproof material.  This floor covering shall not crack when subjected to sudden temperature change and shall be bonded securely to the floor with a waterproof substance.  All seams and openings shall be filled with a waterproof sealer. c)         The floor covering in the aisles and entrance area shall be of non-skid, wear-resistance type material commonly used in commercial passenger transportation vehicles.
