Purpose

Section 460 Section 460.100  Purpose This Part establishes the requirements and procedures to be followed by an Official Testing Station, Official Portable Emission Testing Company, and Certified Diesel Emission Tester for the inspection of those diesel-powered vehicles which are required to be inspected pursuant to Section 13-109.1 of the Illinois Vehicle Inspection Law (the Law) [625 ILCS 5]. Additionally, inspection, compliance and enforcement procedures are covered by this Part and establish the Diesel Emission Inspection Program.
