Introduction

Section 541 Section 541.10  Introduction a)         This Part has been developed to regulate the use of Tourist Oriented Directional Signs (TODS) displayed along various State-maintained non-freeways. It establishes standards, specifications, and financial responsibility for a TODS program providing motorists with travel related directional information to facilities of interest to tourism. b)         This program applies to non-freeways within the State of Illinois that are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation (the Department) and that are outside of urban areas.
