(625 ILCS 45/3A-2) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 313A-2) Sec. 3A-2. Voluntary titling. The owner of any watercraft exempt from Section 3A-1(a) of this Act may apply to the Department of Natural Resources for a certificate of title by filing an application accompanied by the prescribed fee. Any owner exempt from this Act who obtains a certificate of title must also obtain a certificate of number as prescribed in Section 3-9 of this Act. (Source: P.A. 91-357, eff. 7-29-99.)
