Section 1-101

(625 ILCS 5/1-101) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-101) Sec. 1-101. Definition of words and phrases. The following words and phrases when used in this Code shall, for the purpose of this Code, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this Chapter, except when the context otherwise requires and except where another definition set forth in another Chapter of this Code and applicable to that Chapter or a designated part thereof is applicable.
