(65 ILCS 5/3.1-10-20) (from Ch. 24, par. 3.1-10-20) Sec. 3.1-10-20. Results; ties. The person with the highest number of votes for an office is the person elected to that office. In case of a tie vote, the candidate who shall hold the office shall be determined under the general election law. (Source: P.A. 87-1119.)
