Extension of accident/sickness insurance to newborns

Bulletin 31 EXTENSION OF ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INSURANCE TO NEWBORNS October 22, 1975 The last session of the General Assembly enacted I.C. 27- 8- 5.6-2 providing extension of family coverage on accident and sickness insurance to newborns. This act applies to all accident and sickness insurance policies delivered or issued for delivery after October 1, 1975. Compliance with this act on individual policies should not present any problems. However, all insurers writing group policies affected by this act should immediately make appropriate changes in the master policy in order to comply with this act for any group members enrolled after October 1, 1975.
