_______________________________ ______________________________ Bulletin 106 FOREIGN LANGUAGE PRODUCT FILINGS September 14, 2001 This Bulletin is directed to all insurers and other entities making product filings in languages other than English with the Indiana Department of Insurance (the "Department.") To facilitate the review of forms in a language other than English, the Department requests a translator's certification with each non-English filing, along with a copy of the English version. For policies and forms subject to Ind. Code 27-1-26, pursuant to Ind. Code §27-1-26-4, the insurer issuing the non-English language policy must also certify that if translated into English, the policy would comply with Ind. Code §27-1-26-3. A sample translator's certification is provided with this Bulletin. No filing in a language other than English will be approved until the Department has approved, or is prepared to contemporaneously approve, the English language version.
