410 IAC 5-6.1-62 "Leakage technique factors" defined
Cite as Ind. Admin. Code tit. 410, r. 5-6.1-62
Sec. 62. As used in this rule, "leakage technique factors" means the technique factors associated with the diagnostic or therapeutic source
assembly which are used in measuring leakage radiation. They are as follows:
(1) For diagnostic source assemblies intended for capacitor energy storage equipment, the maximum rated kVp, and the maximum
rated number of exposures per hour at the maximum rated kVp, with a charge per exposure of ten (10) mAs or the minimum obtainable from the
system, whichever is larger.
(2) For diagnostic source assemblies intended for field emission equipment rated for pulsed operation, the maximum rated kVp and
the maximum rated number of x-ray pulses per hour for operation at the maximum rated kVp.
(3) For all other diagnostic or therapeutic source assemblies, the maximum rated kVp and the maximum rated continuous tube current
for the maximum rated kVp.
