410 IAC 7-15.5-46 Floors

Sec. 46. (a) Floors and floor coverings of all food preparation, food storage, and utensil washing areas shall be constructed of a smooth durable material and shall be maintained in good repair. (b) Carpeting, if used as floor covering, shall be of closely woven construction, properly installed, easily cleanable, and maintained in good repair. (c) Mats and duckboards shall be of nonabsorbent, grease-resistant materials and of such size, design, and construction as to facilitate their being easily cleaned.
