460 IAC 14.1-5-2 Eligibility criteria

Sec. 2. (a) To be eligible for vocational rehabilitation services, an applicant must meet the requirements set forth in 34 CFR 361.42(a). (b) An applicant receiving Social Security Disability Insurance or Supplemental Security Income as a result of their own disability is presumed eligible for vocational rehabilitation services, unless they do not meet the eligibility requirements set forth in 34 CFR 361.42(a)(1). (c) When requested by the VR program, an applicant must undergo evaluations when necessary for the VR program to determine eligibility for vocational rehabilitation services as set forth in 34 CFR 361.42(d). (d) The timeline for an eligibility determination is sixty (60) days from the date of application unless the applicant and the VR program agree to extend the timeline.
