470 IAC 3-4.7-126 Infant program

Sec. 126. Caregivers shall: (1) arrange space so children: (A) can enjoy moments of quiet play by themselves; (B) have space to roll over; and (C) can crawl toward interesting objects; (2) provide safe areas for infants to freely explore their environment; (3) change the child's focus of play periodically during the day from the floor to give infants different perspectives on people and places; and (4) not place awake children in cribs, except for a short period of time when going to sleep or awakening.
