470 IAC 3-4.7-54 Positive discipline

Sec. 54. (a) Caregivers shall use positive discipline.
(b) Caregivers shall do the following:
(1) Communicate to children using positive statements.
(2) Encourage children, with adult support, to use their own words and solutions in order to resolve their own interpersonal
conflicts.
(3) Communicate with children by getting down to their eye level and talking to them in a calm quiet manner about what behavior
is expected.
