470 IAC 6-6-6 Off-line transactions

Sec. 6. (a) In the event of an operational failure of the electronic benefit transfer system, a retailer may provide benefits off-line to a recipient household in an amount not exceeding forty dollars ($40). (b) Before providing benefits off-line, a retailer must obtain approval from the contractor or division in accordance with the procedure specified in the contract between the retailer and the division. (c) An off-line transaction that is authorized and approved under this section must be completed in accordance with the procedures specified in the contract between the retailer and the division or contractor, including any operating rules or standards applicable to the Indiana electronic benefit transfer system that are incorporated by reference in the contract.
