675 IAC 31-6-6 Brakes

Sec. 6. A trackless train or similar device shall be fitted with the following minimum braking requirements: (1) A travel brake. Prime movers shall be fitted with a travel brake system capable of stopping the fully loaded towed train under all designed conditions. (2) A parking brake. Prime movers shall be fitted with an additional braking system capable of holding the fully loaded train stationary. A combination travel/parking brake may be used only with prior approval of the department and for devices carrying less than eight (8) patrons.
