760 IAC 1-18-19 Statements about insurer

Sec. 19. STATEMENTS ABOUT AN INSURER. An advertisement shall not contain statements which are untrue in fact or by implication
misleading with respect to the insurer's assets, corporate structure, financial standing, age or relative position in the insurance business.
Interpretation of Section B 16 [this section]
Among other things, this Section prohibits insurers which have been organized for only a brief period of time from advertising that they
are "old" or from making similar untrue representations.
Illustrations of a "Home Office" building should not be used in a manner which will be misleading with respect to the actual size and
magnitude of the insurer's business.
