760 IAC 1-38.1-5 "Coordination of benefits" or "COB" defined

Sec. 5. As used in this rule, "coordination of benefits" or "COB" means a provision: (1) establishing an order in which plans pay their claims; and (2) permitting secondary plans to reduce their benefits so that the combined benefits do not exceed the total allowable expenses.
