760 IAC 2-20-2 Purpose

Sec. 2. The purpose of this rule is to: (1) establish minimum standards for long term care insurance policies, certificates, and riders to qualify for participation in the Indiana long term care program; (2) establish documentation and reporting requirements for issuers of policies, certificates, or riders to qualify under the Indiana long term care program; (3) provide full disclosures in the sale of long term care insurance policies, certificates, and riders which qualify under the Indiana long term care program; and (4) facilitate public understanding regarding long term care insurance and long term care insurance policies, certificates, and riders which qualify under the Indiana long term care program.
