844 IAC 13-1-4 "ADS" defined

Sec. 4. (a) "ADS" means acupuncture detoxification specialist. (b) ADS is: (1) limited to the use of five (5) points in accordance with NADA protocol; and (2) for the purpose of treating alcoholism, substance abuse, or chemical dependency as defined by IC 25-2.5-2-7. (c) An ADS is a person who: (1) has met the minimum requirements as stated in 844 IAC 13-3-1; (2) is functioning in a dependent relationship with a physician licensed by the board or an acupuncturist licensed by the board; and (3) is performing under his or her supervision a task or combination of tasks traditionally performed in a chemical dependency treatment program under the law for the purpose of treating alcoholism, substance abuse, or chemical dependency.
