844 IAC 13-5-2 Fees for services

Sec. 2. (a) Fees charged by an acupuncturist for his or her professional services shall compensate the acupuncturist only for the services actually rendered. (b) An acupuncturist shall not divide a fee for professional services with another practitioner who is not a partner, employee, or shareholder in a professional corporation unless the: (1) patient consents to the employment of the other practitioner after a full disclosure that a division of fees will be made; and (2) division of fees is made in proportion to actual services performed and responsibility assumed by each practitioner. (c) An acupuncturist shall not pay or accept compensation from a practitioner for referral of a patient.
