312 IAC 22-1-13 "Investigation" defined

Sec. 13. "Investigation" means an archaeological or historical investigation that does the following: (1) Principally employs amateur archaeologists. (2) Is not under the control or supervision of a principal investigator. (3) Uses systematic methods and techniques to locate, identify, evaluate, recover, treat, analyze, and conserve artifacts and associated contexts. (4) Results in the production of a report detailing its various activities and findings.
