312 IAC 22-1-20 "Scientific investigation" defined

Sec. 20. "Scientific investigation" means an archaeological, anthropological, physical anthropological, or historical investigation that does
the following:
(1) Is conducted under the control or supervision of a principal investigator.
(2) Employs specialized, systematic methods and techniques to locate, identify, evaluate, recover, treat, analyze, and conserve any
artifacts, burial objects, and buried human remains and associated contexts.
(3) Produces a report detailing its various activities and findings.
