Terrorist Exclusion, Bulletin 2002-2

Bulletin 2002-2 TO: All Property & Casualty Insurers Writing Commercial Lines Insurance Products FROM: Kathleen Sebelius Commissioner of Insurance RE: Voluntary Expedited Filing Procedures For Exclusions Related To Acts Of Terrorism DATE: March 1, 2002 On January 23, 2002, our Bulletin No, 2002-1, regarding Terrorism Exclusions was mailed to your company. Such bulletin indicated that our office would approve certain limited exclusions for acts of terrorism and furthermore that the bulletin would expire on March 1, 2002. The exclusions would remain in effect until 15 days after the President signed into law a federal backstop to address terrorism coverages. The purpose of this bulletin is to advise that our previous Bulletin No. 2002-1 will not expire on March 1, 2002 and therefore, shall remain in full force and effect until further notice. Additionally, our office will continue to consider and approve terrorism exclusions pursuant to our Bulletin No. 2002-1.
