Bulletin 2011-1 TO: All Insurance Companies Licensed to Transact Business In Kansas FROM: Sandy Praeger Commissioner of Insurance DATE: March 23, 2011 RE: Rescission of Bulletin 2003-5; Kansas Continuation Law Effective immediately Bulletin 2003-5 is rescinded. In pertinent part, Kansas Continuation Law has been changed and Bulletin 2003-5 misstates the current, effective law. Kansas law provides the Commissioner of Insurance with the power to make all reasonable rules and regulations necessary to enforce the laws of Kansas relating to the general supervision, control and regulation of insurance companies, etc. See K.S.A. 40-103. Effective July 1, 2009, several components of K.S.A. 40-2209 were changed which affected Kansas Continuation Law. Accordingly, Bulletin 2003-5 is not consistent with current law and is rescinded effective immediately.
