501 KAR 3:170. Classifications

Section 1. Jail Categories. (1) Category I – Jails with one (1) to 100 beds shall be classified as a Category I jail. (2) Category II – Jails with 101 beds to 250 beds shall be classified as a Category II jail. (3) Category III – Jails with 251 beds to 500 beds shall be classified as a Category III jail. (4) Category IV – Jails with 501 beds to 999 beds shall be classified as a Category IV jail. (5) Category V – Jails with 1,000 beds or more shall be classified as a Category V jail.
