A. These regulations governing the privacy and security of criminal history record information in the state of Louisiana are effective after November 30, 1977. Full implementation is required by December 31, 1977. B. The regulations were drafted by the Privacy and Security Steering Committee of the Louisiana Criminal Justice Information System (LCJIS) Advisory Board and members of the LCJIS staff in accordance with a federal and state executive mandate to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. The commission approved the regulations on October 26, 1977. C. A separate set of guidelines and implementation instructions was published to provide significant assistance in understanding and adapting the regulations to local needs and peculiarities. Questions concerning the regulations or guidelines may be addressed to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement at its recognized business address.
