LAC 43:XV.3703. Responsibilities: General

A. The Office of Conservation shall: 1. review requests for assistance and determine qualified operators; 2. develop and maintain a list of qualified laboratories, and select and pay laboratories for services rendered; 3. conduct periodic on-site evaluations of the Louisiana Surface Mining Program activities with the appropriate small operator; and 4. participate with the Office of Surface Mining in data coordination activities with the U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other appropriate agencies or institutions.
