A. As used in this Chapter, the following terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this Section. Emergency Drug Kit (EDK)—a container holding designated emergency drugs which may be required to meet the immediate therapeutic needs of an offender. Emergency Drugs—those drugs which may be required to meet the immediate therapeutic needs of an offender and which are not available from any other authorized source in sufficient time to prevent risk of harm to the offender because of a delay resulting from obtaining such medications from such other source.
