LAC 22:I.901. Medication Administration [Formerly §501]

A. Medication shall be administered in a manner consistent with R.S. 15:911 relative to children as described herein. B. The 2001 Louisiana Legislature authorized the Department of Public Safety and Corrections and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to jointly promulgate rules which specifically establishes the procedure to be followed for the administration of medication at each detention facility by trained unlicensed juvenile detention center employees in accordance with Act 502 of the 2001 Regular Session. Training requirements shall be set forth in this Part.
